Match the Domain and Range: Demo

alt="Your browser understands the <APPLET> tag but isn't running the applet, for some reason." Your browser is completely ignoring the <APPLET> tag! Introduction: The domain of a relation is the set of possible first members. Here we have to analyze a graph in order to determine the domain. To find the smallest x in the domain, we mentally "walk" along the curve as far to the left as possible. Usually, the leftmost point is not on either axis. We find the largest x on the curve in a similar way.
The process of finding the range from the smallest and largest y-coordinates is similar also.
Click "Start" for a new set of data. Then use the buttons to move the circle to new positions. Observe how the domain and range change. Be sure to do a variety of cases.
